The 30 Most Satisfying Simple Pleasures Life Has to Offer
They say the best things in life are free. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the list below proves that statement to be true. Life is filled with simple pleasures, the little satisfying effects you never really anticipate, but always take great pleasure in. They are the gifts of life that we each subconsciously celebrate in our own unique way.
Here are 30 of the most satisfying simple pleasures life has to offer:
Sleeping In on a Rainy Day – As the rain beats lightly against the window, you nestle your head deeper into your pillow. The sound is soothing and your bed feels like a sanctuary. There is no place you would rather be.
Finding Money You Didn’t Know You Had – You reach into your pocket and find a $20 note from the last time you wore these jeans. You aren’t rich, but you are richer than you thought you were a second earlier.
Making Brief Eye Contact with Someone of the Opposite Sex – You pass her on the street or in the subway. She glances up at you momentarily, making direct eye contact in a way that seems to communicate a subtle curiosity. For a split second it makes you think… and then it’s gone.
Skinny Dipping – There is something mysteriously liberating about being naked in a body of water. You are naked, but it feels natural, a sense of unrefined freedom.
Receiving a Real Letter, Card or Package via Snail Mail – E-mail has become the primary source of written communication. Most snail mail these days is junk mail. When you check the mail and find a real letter or package from someone you know, excitement overtakes you as you tear into this rare gift.

Flip Your Thoughts: The key habit for weight loss, frugality, happiness, success
It was just a short 20 months ago when I discovered a very simple key that allowed me to finally quit smoking and become a runner.
It was such an easy but powerful key that I then used it to eat healthier, double my income, become an early riser, run a marathon, become a vegan, lose weight, reduce my debt, save money, write a novel, complete a triathlon, and start a successful blog.
What was that simple key to success? It was this: flip your thoughts.
Before I learned that, I would always start a goal with a lot of enthusiasm, and then run out of steam and eventually fail. After that initial burst of enthusiasm, the negative thoughts would set in on me: You can’t do this. It’s too hard. I’m too tired. It’s painful. Give in to the easier stuff.

Your Home: The Best Company To Work For
Do you love your job?
No, I mean, really love it? Or are you just doing it because someone has to stay home with the kiddos, and well, the laundry isn’t going to fold itself?
Many of us have “bonus” jobs – we work from home for pay in various ways, and some of you even leave the house to work. But today, I’m only talking about your job as a home manager.
And as a mom.
Because there are two important parts to my original question – it IS indeed a job, and it’s hopefully one you love.
Running a home is not unlike running a business, and you’re doing yourself (and your family) a disservice to treat it otherwise. If your home was Home, Inc., would it succeed? Would its accounts balance financially? Would your team members thrive and find satisfaction in spending most of their waking hours there?

The answer is: Spontaneity and luck had little to do with it.
In this article, we’ll take a brief look at 20 tried and true techniques that some of the brightest and most successful entrepreneurs have used to generate million dollar ideas.

The Seat Belt Law of Life
One of my most valuable teachers has been my seat belt.
We’ve all had the experience of getting into the car and finding when we attempt to draw the seatbelt across our lap, the locking mechanism inside won’t allow the seat belt to move. This happened to me one morning many years ago when our kids were still little. Like most of life’s powerful lessons, this one came at a moment when I was feeling emotionally spent and teetering on burnout. (The universe has a sick sense of humor!) I remember feeling more stressed than usual, ready to explode with the slightest provocation, but trying to keep it together. (Mothers of small children I think you may have an idea what I’m talking about.) We were running late, so I was impatiently herding the children into the car, yelling at them to hurry, hurry, hurry. I jump into the drivers seat and use my left hand to grab the seat belt from above my left shoulder, only to find it won’t move more than 2 inches. It’s stuck…frozen…unwilling to budge.

Be Willing To Compromise And Negotiate With Your Children
If we are working with our children to gain cooperation there will be lots of compromise and negotiation along the way. No one likes being told “That’s the way it is because I said so”. In a fair situation no one takes total control.
In great relationships there is always compromise and negotiation, whether it be between a child and parent, partners, friends or work colleagues. By regularly discussing things with your children they will learn and understand there has to be a give and take and mutual respect for each other’s ideas and thoughts.
As adults it is up to us to show our children and set the example. No one will complain about a fair and just negotiation or compromise and it is a much easier way to gain cooperation all round!

How To Create A Vision Board And Attract Your Goals
Visualization is an important success element in your goal achievement efforts. A very powerful way to apply visualization is by creating a so called “Vision Board”, also known as a “Dream Board”. It is one of the most powerful ways to put the Law of Attraction to work for you. A Vision Board is a collage of pictures of the goals and dreams you want to attract in your life. Important is to really use the exact image of what you want to attract, as whatever you show on your Board will become part of your reality! So if you want a specific kind of car, make sure it is exactly the type, model and color you desire.
A very basic and fun way of creating a Vision Board is by taking a big piece of carton, scissors, glue and tons of magazines. Go through the magazines and search for images of your dreams, or search for the right images on the internet. Cut out the images and glue them on your cardboard. For more power, add affirmations such as “I love driving my new Porsche” or “I spend lots of quality time with my family”. This reinforces what you desire. Hang your cardboard on a spot where you will see it on a very regular basis, such as at your desk or in the kitchen. Look at it daily, and really FEEL as if you have already achieved the things on your Board. It is precisely this FEELING that will help you to attract your vision into your life. Therefore, make sure to look at your Board as often as possible with focused intent. You will be happily surprised to see the things on your Vision Board show up in your life -sooner or later- providing you keep putting your intention on them and you stay positive and inspired.

Becoming the best mom with fitness, health, and wealth!
***Being a mom is hard!***
Why is that? We make sure the kids have good fitness through sports and extra activities. We plan healthy nutritious meals for our family. We make sure the bills are paid on time. We are the ones who provide a shoulder for comfort or kisses for boo boos.
Then at the end of each day, we are way too tired to worry about our own exercise, health, diets, dreams and boo boos!
It is the hardest task to put “me” on our to do lists! But when we do, it makes everything else easier.
Let’s face it. We are usually last on the list of the things we need to take care of daily. Let’s change that!
I made a goal to become healthy, wealthy and still be the best mom I can be. I accomplish this by making my to do list every day with “me” at the top of the list. Without taking care of me, I cannot take care of the ones I love most.
How do you become healthy, wealthy and a great parent? There is not a single answer. Nor is there an EASY Button, sorry.

Is Fluoride Toxic?
1) I heard fluoride is a poison. Is this true?
Yes. Fluoride is an acute toxin with a rating higher than that of lead. According to “Clinical Toxicology of Commercial products,” 5th Edition, 1984, lead is given a toxicity rating of 3 to 4, and Fluoride is rated at 4 (3 = moderately toxic, 4 = very toxic). On December 7, 1992, the new EPA Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for lead was set at 0.015 ppm, with a goal of 0.0ppm. The MCL for fluoride is currently set for 4.0 ppm – that’s over 250 times the permissible level of lead.
Fluoride used in water fluoridation is also a toxic waste product — which means it contains other heavy metals. It is the most bone seeking element known to mankind. The US Public Health Service has stated that fluoride makes the bones more brittle and dental enamel more porous.
2) How much fluoride am I taking in?
Current total intake is now estimated to be between 5 and 7 mg/day in “optimally fluoridated” areas. Current fluoride intake is equally divided between drinking water (in fluoridated areas), food, other beverages, and dental products, meaning that even if you don’t live in a fluoridated area, fluoride is endangering your health. Average fluoride content in juices is 0.02 to 2.80 parts per million, in part because of variations in fluoride concentrations of water used in production. Children’s ingestion of fluoride from juices and juice-flavored beverages can be substantial and a crucial factor in developing fluorosis. Grape juice has been found to contain up to 6.8 mg/L of fluoride, a can of chicken soup up to 4 mg of fluoride. Fluoride can be found in water, toothpaste, mouthwash, Dentist’s treatment, fluoride pills, juice, soft drinks, canned food, commercial fruit and vegetables, Teflon and Tefal coated items (such as frying pans), etc. (Note: No “optimal” fluoride intake has ever been scientifically documented.)
